The Amicus compiler is a free version of the Proton compiler, with the limitation that it will only compile code for the PIC18F25K20 and PIC18F25K22 microcontrollers. It is designed to work with the Amicus hardware board, which is a take on the popular Arduino board - except that it uses a Microchip PIC microcontroller instead of an Atmel AVR one. Although we do not stock the Amicus board locally, we do have a locally designed and manufactured board called the "Breeze" (pictured above) which is fully compatible with the Amicus compiler. For more information on the Breeze board, or to purchase one, please contact us or see it's page in the online store.
