ProxFusion 2 Click

ProxFusion® 2 Click is an ambient lighting, capacitive, Hall-effect, and inductive sensing Click board™ which features a single multifunctional sensor IC. The IQS621 IC from ProxFusion® sensor series offers several ProxSense® engine capabilities, with additional sensor types. Thanks to its high level of integration, this sensor requires a low number of external components, which combined with its very low power consumption, makes it a perfect solution for IoT applications. Such applications can also benefit from a variety of sensors on the same die, allowing more complex devices to be designed, with no additional costs.

ProxFusion® 2 Click is supported by a mikroSDK compliant library, which includes functions that simplify software development. This Click board™ comes as a fully tested product, ready to be used on a system equipped with the mikroBUS™ socket.

ProxFusion click

ProxFusion click is a multifunctional capacitive and Hall-effect sensor device. This click can detect touch by using two onboard sensor pads, and it can sense a rotation angle of a magnetic field, parallel with the surface of the click board™. The intelligent onboard IC calculates all the parameters and streams the current angle value to the I2C bus directly, without the need for extra calculations.

The integrated circuit, used on ProxFusion click, allows a minimal number of external components, thus allowing the ProxFusion click to work with a very low power consumption. The compact size and advanced onboard functions make this click an ideal solution for implementing all kinds of advanced HMI interfaces, wearable devices, proximity activated or dimmed TFT backlight, digital angle gauges, and similar applications that include any kind of capacitive proximity/touch and Hall-effect sensing elements.

CapSense click CapSense click features the CY8C201A0 capacitive sensing module, which takes human body capacitance as an input and directly provides real time sensor information output via I2C. The board contains capacitive sensing elements (5-segment slider and two buttons) as well as two LEDs. The CY8C201A0 capacitive controller has high immunity against radiated and conductive noise. The board can operate at either 3.3V or 5V, with selection by means of SMD jumper.

Cap Touch click is a capacitive touch sensing button, integrated on a click board™. It can be activated by touch. This click can sense touch even through plastic, wood, or other dielectric materials, which can be used to protect the surface of the PCB and the sensor pad trace itself. Unlike the mechanical button, the capacitive touch button lasts much longer, it is not prone to damage and wear over time and it is very reliable.

Capacitive buttons are a very popular method of powering up various devices. Besides the aforementioned benefits, having a touch sensitive button on a device allows for a compact design, opens possibilities for various kinds of human-machine interface and - it looks good and modern, especially if accompanied by a LED that turns on when activated, just like the one on Cap Touch click. Cap Touch 2 click has six touch sensitive channels and six independent LED drivers with several operating modes, including touch sensor linking, as well as the pulsing and breathing effects. It has seven plated holes for clamps which can be used to connect any - literally any - conductive object in order to use it as an input button to send an interrupt to the target board MCU. It carries the GTS-511E2 module, which is the thinnest optical touch fingerprint sensor in the world. The module comprises a CMOS image sensor with a special lens and covering that records real fingerprints while resisting 2D fakes. The click board also carries an STM32 MCU for processing the images and forwarding them to an external MCU or PC. We created a Windows application that provides an easy interface for communicating with Fingerprint click. The board is designed to use a 3.3V power supply.
