Fan 3 click

Fan 3 click

A fan is a simple device that creates a flow within some fluid - such as the air, causing the heat accumulated in one section of the fluid to be moved away from the heat source, effectively cooling the affected area. The faster the fan rotates, the faster the fluid moves. This movement causes an audible noise which is one of the most obvious reasons why the fan speed control is needed, especially when the fan is used to cool down electronic components, such as the personal computer.

Fan 3 click is the perfect choice for speed control and it can operate in seven discrete speed steps. Unlike the PWM regulation which can sometimes cause the infamous coil whining effect on some types of fans, this click board outputs the selected voltage via the MIC29152 voltage regulator from Microchip, driven through the MIC74 - a serial to parallel I/O expander and a fan controller from the same company, keeping it constant at the output. Fan 3 click works with 12V to 25V on its input connector and can be used whenever a noiseless solution with a variable fan speed is needed, for example - cooling of electronic components with the minimal possible noise produced.

Brushless 6 click

Brushless 6 click is designed to drive a three-phase sensorless, brushless motor, also known as the BLDC motor. The motor rotation is controlled by receiving driving commands via the incoming PWM signal. This click board fully controls the rotation of the BLDC motor by utilizing the onboard MCU ATmega8A, an 8-bit MCU from Microchip. The onboard MCU outputs are not adequate to power on the coils of the BLDC motor directly, so this MCU is used to control the power circuitry, instead. This circuit consists of 6 MOSFET transistors, used to switch the power from an external power source to the appropriate stator coils.

The advantages of the BLDC motors over the other types of DC motors are many. Thanks to their contactless design, BLDC motors last longer and because of the superior rotational speed and torque properties, BLDC motors are widely used for high-speed, lightweight applications such as the drive motors for drones, electronic cooling equipment, small house appliances, robotics and similar applications. The Brushless 6 click provides an easy and elegant solution for driving BLDC motors.

Then tune it up, modify and repurpose it for any task — Buggy features three mikroBUS sockets; if you put a clicker 2 in the drivers’s seat, that’s five slots for various sensors and communication boards.

Vibro Motor click

Vibro Motor click features a compact size Eccentric Rotating Mass (ERM) motor, labeled as C1026B002F. This type of motor is often used for haptic feedback on many small handheld devices, such as the cellphones, pagers, RFID scanners and similar devices. This motor contains a small eccentric weight on its rotor, so while rotating it also produces vibration effect. This kind of motors is sometimes referred to as coin motors, due to its shape.

Besides the vibration motor, the click is also equipped with the DMG3420U, a small MOSFET, which is used to drive the motor. The Vibro Motor click is an ideal solution for adding a simple, one pin driven haptic feedback on any design.

Vibro Motor 2 Click

Vibro Motor 2 Click features a compact size Eccentric Rotating Mass (ERM) motor, labeled as Z4FC1B1301781 as well as DMG3420U MOSFET to drive the ERM motor, since the MCU itself cannot provide enough power for the motor driving.

Hall Switch click

Hall Switch click is a magnetic field activated dual-relay Click board™. Hall Switch click has two high-quality relays, which are activated by the Hall-effect sensor: when the north pole magnetic field is introduced to the sensor, one of the relays will be activated; when the south pole magnetic field is introduced to the sensor, the other relay will be activated. Two high-quality compact relays allow switching of high voltages - up to 220V, so they can cut or establish a connection on the main side of the circuit.
