PRM4 modems can be used to establish a transparent RS-232 / RS-485 / RS-422 link, as if a physical cable had been laid between the two points where the modems are installed. The modems operate in the free 868MHz band, and have a range of between 2 and 16km between two modems (depending on the type of antenna used), with the option to extend the range even further using additional modems set to "repeater" mode. |
