The MP3 Click board is an accessory board in mikroBus form factor. It includes the VS1053 stereo MP3 decoder chip, which can decode multiple formats (Ogg vorbis, MP3, MP1, MP2, MPEG4, WMA, FLAC, WAW, MIDI). It can also encode, in mono or stereo, three different formats from the microphone input (Ogg vorbis, IMA ADPCM, 16-bit PCM). The board uses the industry-standard Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) standard for communication, and can only be used with a 3.3V power supply. Stereo headphone and microphone audio connectors are included on the board. |

The SmartMP3 is an additional board used to play audio files in several formats. It contains the VS1053 stereo audio codec (Ogg Vorbis/MP3/AAC/WMA/FLAC/WAV/MIDI), two 3.5mm stereo audio connectors (MIC/LINE IN and Headphones), a built-in speaker, a microSD card slot, and a 2x5 male header for further connectivity on MikroElektronika Easy development boards. SmartMP3 communicates with the target board microcontroller via an SPI interface. Connectivity can be established through the flat cable provided with the board. |
